This tasty soup is so hearty, comforting and packed full of flavour.
INGREDIENTS
- Goat meat – 1 kg
- Medium onion – 1, blended
- Meat seasoning – to taste
- Salt – to taste
- Water – 6 to 8 cups
- Fresh hot pepper – to taste
- Pepper soup spice – 1 tablespoon
- Uziza/Basil/Scent leaf – 1 handful
PROCEDURE
Step 1
Pour the meat into a pot on medium heat.
Step 2
Add the blended onion, beef seasoning and some salt to taste. Stir, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add 4 cups of water and continue cooking.
Step 4
Add more water, about 2 to 3 cups and cook until meat is tender.
Step 5
Add some fresh pepper to taste.
Step 6
Add the pepper soup spice, stir to combine and simmer on low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 7
Add a handful of Uziza or basil.
Step 8
Cook for approximately 1 minute and take off heat.
Step 9
Serve.
