These buns are soft, fluffy, easy to make, and delicious.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
PROCEDURE
Step 1
Pour the warm water into the bowl of your mixer, sprinkle in the yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar, give it a quick mix and leave until frothy.
Step 2
About 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add your dry ingredients into the bowl of your mixer, mix to combine and make a well in the middle. Add in the oil or melted butter, water, egg and yeast.
Step 4
Knead for about 8 to 10 minutes or until smooth and stretchy. This process can also be done by hand.
Step 5
Oil the inside of a large bowl, place the dough inside, cover bowl with plastic wrap and/or kitchen towel and place in a warm spot until doubled in size.

About 90 minutes.
Step 7
Punch dough down and divide into 10 to 12 parts. Take each piece and shape into balls.
Step 8
Flatten balls a bit and arrange in buttered or lined baking trays, seam side down spacing about 3 inches apart. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and allow to double in size, about 1 hour.
Step 9
10 to 15 minutes before the end of the second rise, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Crack and egg into a bowl, add a tablespoon of water and use a pastry brush to brush the egg wash onto the surface of the dough then sprinkle on the sesame seeds.
Step 10
Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
Step 11
Then transfer onto a wire rack to cool.
