Banana bread is a quick bread with a cake-like texture. It’s moist, delicious, and perfect for breakfast, dessert, or as a snack.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup melted butter or oil
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
PROCEDURE
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350° F. Grease a loaf pan with butter. Set aside.
Step 2
Add all the dry ingredients into a bowl, In another bowl mash the bananas with a fork (it doesn’t have to be smooth). crack the eggs into a small bowl and measure out the oil or melted butter.
Step 3
Whisk together the dry ingredients, mix the wet ingredients together and pour the wet into the dry.
Step 4
Mix just until moistened (Do not overmix).
Step 5
Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Step 6
Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then take the bread out of the pan and cool completely.
