This sweet treat is so easy to make and requires just a few ingredients. I enjoyed eating them while growing up and I still do. You can either make it crunchy or gooey.
INGREDIENTS
- Grated coconut – 4 cups
- Sugar – 2 cups
- Water – 1 to 4 tablespoons, optional
NOTE
You can make this with just one tablespoon of water or no water at all if you want it really crunchy.
Alternatively, if you are making it without water, add the sugar in the pan and don’t touch it until it melts, add the grated coconut and cook until it’s dry.
After cooking, you could spread it out on a baking tray and cut into squares. Cool completely and store in an airtight jar.
