Pawpaw – Papaya Smoothie

This creamy pawpaw smoothie is so smooth, thick, and delicious. It’s perfect for breakfast or dessert.

INGREDIENTS

  • Pawpaw – 1 whole
  • Lime – 1
  • Sugar – 1/4 to 1/2 cup, optional
  • Milk or yoghurt – 2 to 3 cups

PROCEDURE

Step 1

Peel the pawpaw.

Step 2

Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and set aside.

Step 3

Chop up the pawpaw. Be sure to use a ripe one. Transfer into a bowl and chill it for an hour or overnight.

Step 4

Transfer into a blender.

Step 5

Add the juice of 1 lime.

Step 6

Add some sugar to taste. The quantity you use depends on how sweet you want it. You could leave out the sugar entirely.

Step 7

Add 2 to 3 cups of milk or yoghurt.

Step 8

Cover and blend until smooth.

Step 9

Pour into a pitcher.

This freezes really well. You could pour it into a bowl and freeze it. Scoop with an ice cream scoop when ready to serve.
