Try this super simple and delicious chicken fingers recipe. It’s crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Perfect as a snack or as a side with any dipping sauce of your choice.
INGREDIENTS
- Boneless Chicken Breast – 2 pieces
- Salt – to taste
- Onion powder – 2 teaspoons
- Curry powder – 3/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 3/4 teaspoon
- Ginger powder – 3/4 teaspoon
- Chilli pepper – to taste
- Paprika – to taste
- Egg – 1
- Buttermilk or milk – 1/2 cup
BREADING
- Plain flour – 2 & 1/2 cups
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder – 1 teaspoon
- Curry powder – 3/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 3/4 teaspoon
- Ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Chilli pepper – to taste
- Paprika – to taste
PROCEDURE
Step 1
Rinse the chicken, pat dry, and cut into strips.
Step 2
Add some salt to taste.
Step 3
Add the rest of the dry ingredients along with the egg and mix well to combine.
Step 4
Add the buttermilk and mix it in.
Step 5
Cover the bowl and marinate in the fridge for an hour or two, or overnight.
Step 6
Pour the flour into a dry bowl.
Step 7
Add some salt to taste, and the rest of the ingredients.
Step 8
Mix well to combine.
Step 9
Put some chicken strips in the seasoned flour.
Step 10
Cover well with flour until well coated and tap out the excess, then set aside.
Heat up some oil for frying.
Step 11
Fry the chicken in small batches until golden on both sides. About 6 to 8 minutes.
Step 12
Transfer to a kitchen paper lined tray to drain excess oil.
