This Chicken Stir Fry is so quick and easy to make. It’s the perfect recipe for when you are hungry for something delicious but pressed for time. It only takes about 20 minutes to prepare from start to finish!
INGREDIENTS
- Onion – 1 medium
- Red bell pepper – 1
- Green bell pepper – 1
- Yellow bell pepper – 1
- Carrot – 2 medium
- Spring onion – 5 to 6 pieces
- Chilli pepper – to taste
- Boneless Chicken breast – 2 pieces
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
- Cornflour – 2 tablespoons
- Cooking oil – 2 tablespoons
- Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
- Garlic paste – 1 & 1/2 teaspoons
FOR SAUCE
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Cornflour – 1 tablespoon
- Dark soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil – 1 teaspoon
- Sweet chilli sauce – 2 tablespoons
PROCEDURE
Step 1
Slice or chop the onion.
Step 2
Clean the carrot and thinly slice it.
Step 3
Thinly slice the yellow bell pepper and set aside.
Step 4
Slice the red bell pepper.
Step 5
Slice the green bell pepper and the chilli pepper.
Step 6
Chop the spring onion and set everything aside.
Step 7
Slice or chop the chicken, and transfer to a bowl.
Step 8
Season the chicken with 1 teaspoon of salt or to taste.
Step 9
Add the black pepper and corn flour.
Step 10
Mix well to combine and set aside.
Step 11
Add one tablespoon of cornflour into 1/2 cup of water and mix to combine.
Step 11
Add the soy sauce and sesame oil.
Step 12
Mix well and set aside.
Step 13
Heat up a wok on high heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the chicken and stir fry for about 5 minutes.
Step 14
Add the onion and fry for about 1 minute.
Step 15
Add the ginger and garlic paste and fry for about 30 seconds.
Step 16
Add the vegetables. You can use your favourite vegetables.
Fry for about 1 minute.
Step 17
Add the sauce. Mix to combine, and cook for about 2 minutes.
Step 18
Add the spring/green onion, mix it and turn off the heat.
