Candied Peanuts

Candied Peanuts are so irresistible, they are delicious, easy to make, and the perfect party snack.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups raw peanuts with skin on
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder

PROCEDURE

Step 1

Measure out your ingredients.

Step 2

Add the water, peanuts, sugar and half of the cinnamon powder into a pot and place over medium heat.

Step 3

Stir to combine and allow to boil.

Step 4

Stir every now and again, it would thicken and bubble.

Step 5

Continue stirring peanuts until water dries up and every single peanut is well coated. This is what you are going for.

Step 6

Immediately transfer peanuts into a baking tray and break up any clumps. Add the rest of the cinnamon powder and mix to combine then preheat your oven to 300 degrees F for about 10 minutes.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, mix well and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely then store in an airtight jar.

      Use roasted peanuts – with skin on and use only half of the water in the recipe.

      Thank you very much. Without an oven, You can use already roasted peanuts (with skin on) and use half of the water required.
